NSRI SafeTrx: The Official App for Maritime Trip Planning and Tracking

NSRI SafeTrx is the official app developed by the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) for iPhone users. This app allows users to register their vessel and plan their maritime journey right from their smartphones. With an easy-to-understand registration process, users can quickly register their contact and vessel details within the app.

The app offers two main modes: Sail Plan mode and Track only mode. In Sail Plan mode, users can file a detailed sail plan by selecting their vessel, adding the estimated time of arrival (ETA), specifying the number of persons on board, and choosing the activity type. Using the built-in maps, users can select the starting point, optional waypoints, and the end destination. Once the sail plan is completed, users can simply press the 'set sail' button to register the journey details with the NSRI computer server and activate position reporting in the app.

In Track only mode, users can quickly start tracking their trip with a single touch of a button. This mode is useful for users who don't require a detailed sail plan but still want to track their journey.

The app also offers additional features such as the ability to activate an emergency call while the trip is in progress (iPhone only), storing up to 20 trips in the Mobile Logbook, and viewing the journey history in video playback mode.
